School Meals

Breakfast & Lunch Programs

The Chula Vista Elementary School District takes part in the Federal School Lunch and Breakfast Program. Meals are served every school day. Please note that meals will be offered to all students, free of charge, for the 2023-2024 school year due to recent changes in CA law.

The cafeteria will be open on all school days, including minimum days. Breakfast is offered in the cafeteria each morning starting at 8:20 AM until 8:40 AM. If you would like your child to eat breakfast, please be sure to drop them off at school with enough time to eat and attend class starting at 8:50 AM.

Please note that children eat meals outside at the lunch arbor and that students should dress appropriately for the day’s weather. We highly recommend sending your child to school with a jacket or hoodie in the winter months as cold mornings often give way to warm afternoons.

Students will need to clean up after themselves while eating at the lunch arbor.
