A friendly reminder for all to please be sure that your child is free of symptoms of illness before sending them to school. Please also do not send your child to school if someone in the household is known to have COVID-19. Contact the school office if you have questions about this. Kindly read the letter below (in English and in Spanish/disponible en ingles y español) from Mr. Greenwell regarding the take-home tests that were distributed on Monday.

People with these symptoms may have COVID-19 and should stay home:

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

Please know that we will communicate with parents on the latest guidance from state, county, and district officials regarding the safety of students on Allen Elementary’s campus as the COVID-19 pandemic continues. Please note there is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any public place where people are present. The school and district strive to reduce this impact to staff, students, and families.
