Ultra Fun Run Preparations Underway!
Allen Elementary had its Ultra Fun Run kickoff last Friday! We know that students are all so excited for this event and we hope to raise money so the PTC can support our school all year long.
The Fun Run supports school playground improvements (such as the upcoming Gaga Pit that will be installed in October 2021) as well as STEAM initiatives, VAPA and science supplies, and field trips. This fundraiser makes a HUGE difference in the types of programs the PTC can support at Allen Elementary. Here is photo of kids playing Gaga:
The fun run is one of our school’s biggest fundraisers, but it also requires a lot of participation on the part of our entire school community. Students and parents received information from our PTC on Friday, Sept. 3rd.

Fall Conferences Begin on Thursday!
For the comfort and safety of staff and parents, conferences may be offered virtually in order to better accommodate the needs of our school community. Thursday, September 9th to Thursday, September 16th are minimum days to ensure that teachers are able to meet with legal parents and guardians.
- Grades K-3 dismiss at 1:40 pm.
- Grades 4-6 dismiss at 2 pm on those days.
Please know that our teachers will make every effort to meet with any legal guardian or parent that has educational rights for a child and that you may also request a follow up meeting if you have further questions or concerns. Please contact the school office with any questions at (619) 479-3662.
LCFF Survey Forms – ALL families should complete this
We are asking all of our families to participate in an important survey – the Local Control Funding Formula Collection Data for 2021-2022. This quick survey will have a critical impact on your child’s support and services.
The survey is as simple as answering two questions:
- How many people are living in the home?
- What is your total monthly income?
Please be honest and accurate in answering this short survey. The link for this survey is located at our school blog, www.allenelementary.org. Those forms are available here in 3 different ways.

Teachers and our school team will be monitoring participation of this as it will make a big impact on our school’s budget. To encourage participation, all classrooms with 100% participation will receive extra recess and a healthy snack party. Allen All Together
Interested in singing? Enjoy good times? Look no further than Allen All Together! This show is brought to you by Musical Theater International and is a show being produced for schools and theatres around the world to locally produce and perform an exclusive musical revue featuring 15 songs from MTI’s beloved shows.
Students (Grades 1-6) who are interested are expected to:
- Prepare a 1-minute audition song for their audition.
- If chosen to participate, be responsible for being at rehearsals on time, prepared, and remain present and respectful throughout the entirety of each rehearsal.
- Wear a mask when asked to do so. Allen All Together will follow all of the same safety guidelines and protocols as during the school day. Rehearsals and performances are scheduled to take place outdoors.
Thursday, 10/7/21 to Friday, 11/12/21 (Rehearsals are Thursdays 3:20-4:30 PM & Fridays 2:00-3:30 PM)
11/12/21 at 4:00 PM (outdoor performance)
Cost to Participate
This production is donation-based. 75% of donations will go towards the Allen Art Fund and 25% to Program Facilitators. Suggested donation $150.
