LCFF Survey – Due Sept. 10
We are asking all of our families to participate in an important survey – the Local Control Funding Formula Collection Data for 2021-2022. This quick survey will have a critical impact on your child’s support and services.
The survey is as simple as answering two questions:
- How many people are living in the home?
- What is your total monthly income?
Please be honest and accurate in answering this short survey. The link for this survey is located at our school blog, www.allenelementary.org. Those forms are available here in three different ways.
You can complete this form online here: Local Control Funding Formula Collection Data Online Form
You can also download the form here and complete it in blue or black ink and return it to the school:
You can also scan the QR code here and take the survey on a cell phone:

Benefits for your child include:
- Instructional materials
- Classroom technology
- Additional staffing to provide supports for students
- Extended learning opportunities for students
- Before and after school programs
Teachers and our school team will be monitoring participation of this as it will make a big impact on our school’s budget. To encourage participation, all classrooms with 100% participation will receive extra recess and a healthy snack party. We appreciate your time and support in ensuring your child receives what they need and deserve in our school. Please return the survey on or before Friday, September 10, 2021.
Your cooperation and participation will keep our students at the core of our district’s decisions. Thank you!
Courtesy Notice (1 Sept. 2021)
This is a courtesy notice that there was a positive case of COVID-19 on our campus recently. Some important points:
- Please know that at this time, we believe that NONE of these COVID-19 cases caused any spread on our campus and that our safety measures in place are working.
- We also believe that NONE of these individuals contracted COVID-19 on our campus.
- An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present, including schools.
This is a courtesy notice that an individual on campus tested positive for COVID-19. If you/your child have been on campus recently, you are considered a NON-CLOSE contact. There is nothing you need to do at this time, but please read attached letter carefully.
Again, if you have not already been notified that you/your child is a close contact, at this time, you/your child are NOT considered a close contact with a person who recently tested positive for the virus.
Our school staff remains vigilant and continues to stress the importance of handwashing and hand sanitizing regularly (such as when entering the classroom, after using the bathroom). We also encourage all members of our school community (staff, students, and families) to physically distance when possible (such as at lunch time and recess). Our custodians will continue to clean and disinfect rooms as needed and will offer extra cleaning if there is a positive case in a space on campus.
All members of our school community are required to wear masks indoors and outdoors unless eating or drinking. Students may also remove masks at PE or recess time. Please note that we encourage all eligible persons to get vaccinated and that COVID-19 testing is available to staff and students should they need it.
Here is that testing information:
The Chula Vista Elementary School District is offering free testing at the Education Services and Support Center located at 84 East J Street, Chula Vista, CA. 91910. This is for staff and students of our district only.
- Monday – Thursday from 8:00AM – 4:00PM. *Please note that walk ups stop at 3:40 pm.
- Friday from 11:00AM – 4:00 PM. *Please note that walk ups stop at 3:40 pm.
A newer county decision tree (dated 8/12/2021) and more COVID-19 information is available at our school blog at www.allenelementary.org.
Should you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
Friday, Sept. 3
Friday morning will have our Family First Friday at 8 am. This will be available outside in front of the school and online via Zoom [LINK: https://SDSU.zoom.us/j/82965043586]. It is a chat only (with community building) and will have no agenda. Masks are required when not eating or drinking and physical distancing is encouraged. All are welcome.
At 9 am, we will have our Fun Run kickoff on the blacktop. There may be some of our fully vaccinated PTC volunteers on campus to support this, but no other parents will be permitted on campus during this time. As with all campus events, masks are required and I encourage physical distancing when possible.
No School on Monday
A friendly reminder that there is no school on Labor Day — Monday, September 6, 2021. Classes resume on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 for a full day of school.
