Student Registration: An Online Process
Please spread the word to share how wonderful Allen Elementary is! Online registration for all new incoming students to Allen is now open at the district’s website! This process is only for families new to Allen Elementary and all incoming kindergarten students.
Interested in transferring your student to our amazing school? Click the link here for more information regarding zone transfers (within CVESD) and interdistrict transfers (from outside CVESD).
Current Ella B. Allen Elementary students do NOT need to re-register online. They are automatically enrolled for 2020-2021 school year. Residency Verification for returning students will be done at a later time (stay tuned).
If your child will NOT return to Allen Elementary in 2020-2021, please email email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org. Outgoing sixth grade students do not need to notify the office staff that they are attending middle school next year.
There will be a PTC meeting which you are welcome to join on Monday, May 11 at 6 pm.
There will also be a School Site Council (SSC) meeting on Wednesday, May 13 at 3:30 pm. Please send a request in advance to join either of these virtual meetings to: Michelle.email@example.com and Mrs. Reza will send you an invitation.
Parent Help Line
CVESD has a Parent Helpline at 619-409-6638 to provide technical support with Microsoft Office 365 and Teams, as well as assistance for District-adopted online programs (i.e. Achieve 3000). Office hours are now Monday–Friday 8 am to 5 pm. You may need to leave a message during peak times; however, someone will contact you as soon as possible.
CVESD Meal Distribution
Beginning on Monday, May 4, 2020, the District will move to a Monday, Wednesday, Friday meal distribution at nine school sites listed below. These schools have a student population where 50 percent or more are on free/reduced priced meal program. Please keep the following in mind when planning:
- Students are required to be present when receiving meals.
- District and school staff will start “Grab and Go Distribution” of meal bags at 10 a.m. and will stop once all bags are distributed on a first come, first served basis.
- Meal bags will contain two days of servings each on Monday and Wednesday.
- Bags will be placed into automobile trunks—they will not be handed through vehicle windows, unless absolutely necessary, for the protection of both our staff and the vehicle occupants.
- Kindly wear a facial covering or mask.
- Meals are intended for our neediest children between the ages of 1 to 18. Servings on Fridays will also include meals for the weekend.

SUHSD Meal Distribution
Sweetwater Union High School District is also serving meals for students on Tuesdays only in May. Due to the fact that many Allen families also have students within that district, we wanted to share this information.
Dates: Tuesdays (May 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th)
Time: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m

Distribution will include seven (7) breakfasts and seven (7) lunches for a total of fourteen (14) meals distributed to any student, 2 to 18 years old. A difference from CVESD Meal Distribution is that students do not need to be present to receive a lunch. Instead, parents will be asked to confirm that they have a child at home.
