Info for Your Relaxing Sunday

Happy Relaxing Sunday! Here is some information for you for the Week of August 4th.

Thank you to all the families who came out to Curriculum Night and the Family First Friday. Every time we get together, I learn more and more! I also want to thank all teachers and staff for their work. The first ten days of school are always a challenge and like the Eagles they are, they soared!

If you are interested in one of our parent leadership committees (School Site Council, District Advisory/District English Language Advisory Committees) please inform the office, me, or turn in the interest form I passed out during Family First Friday. Please make sure to include a short paragraph description about yourself and why you wish to be a parent leader. Let’s talk a little student safety. Please keep from parking in the staff spaces in the front of the school along Allen School Lane. This is particularly unsafe during drop off in the morning and dismissal after school as people don’t see children when they are entering and exiting car doors when pulling into the spaces. If you wish to do a pick up or drop off without leaving your vehicle, use the Daly Academy roundabout. If you prefer to walk onto campus, park on Allen School Road or in the Daly Academy parking lot.

For dismissal, we will open the gates at 3:05 on regular days. Please wait under the overhang near the auditorium or in front of the 400 building. Please do not enter the halls until the bells ring. Our teachers are teaching to the very last second of the day! For minimum days, we will open gates at 1:40 for primary dismissal. If you are waiting for an upper grade students, please remain under the overhand near the auditorium and the 400 building until 2:00 as there are still 20 minutes of instruction still happening.
