It’s Sunday! Thank you, Allen

Ms. Garcia here with your Sunday information for May 19, 2019.

Thank you, Allen School! Our Allen teachers, staff, and volunteers responded beautifully and kept the focus on every child feeling safe and protected during our lockdown and secure campus incident last Friday. I also appreciate each of our parents and our families members for their patience and understanding throughout the incident with the limited information we had. I would also like give a shout out for the support we received from CVESD district office, CVPD, and SD County Sheriff’s Office. Thank you! I will be sending a letter on Monday with more information. Again, it truly takes a village.

That said, Allen School ROCKS and we have lots going on our last few weeks, so get out your calendars:

Mother/Son Games will be this Friday, May 24 from 5-7:30pm.  Tickets are $5 each and are being sold before and after school.  If you would like to help with this event, there is a sign up sheet in the office.  It will be a fun-filled night of fun and games so make sure to get your tickets soon.

Verification of Residency will take place on Wednesday, May 29 from 7am to 3:30pm and then again on Friday, June 7 from 7:00am to 3:30pm.  Remember this mandatory process must be completed in order for your child to begin the 19-20 school year.

Mark your calendars for Math Night which is next Wednesday, May 29 from 5:30 to 7:00pm.  This free event is open to everyone.  There will be games, prizes and you can come and go as you please.

Volunteers, please mark your calendars for Friday, May 31 from 8-9:00am.  Staff will be serving you breakfast in honor of all you do year long to support our students and school.   We are so very grateful.

Finally, our local Bonita Fire Department is having a pancake breakfast on Sunday, June 9 from 8-11am to help support our firefighters.  The donation is only $5 and may be purchased at the fire door.  They will have various booths, demonstrations and you can even learn CPR.  Please come out and support our local firefighters.
