Hello Eagles, Ms. Garcia here with your Sunday Night All Call information for August 5, 2018.
First, a few traffic reminders.
- Do not drop students nor pick them up in the front of the school.
- Park on Allen School Rd. And walk to campus if you wish or you can park in the Daly Academy parking lot.
- Please be courteous, kind, and patient during our most impacted traffic times. Adults are role model for students, so practice these traits during pick up and drop off.
- I will have some parent volunteers helping me with traffic reminders, so please be kind and courteous.
I want to thank all the parents who came out for Curriculum Night last Thursday. It was a very successful night for teachers and families.
Thank you to all the students that have submitted applications for Student Council. The candidate list will be posted by this Friday at the auditorium. A speech requirement meeting will be held the following Tuesday, August 14. We are excited to raise up a new group of leaders for our school.
Korean Teacher Visit: We have 14 teachers from Korea visiting our classrooms from August 9th through August 15th through SDSU’s American Language Institute program. This such a wonderful cross-cultural opportunity for our staff, students, and families. We know there will be a lot of learning going on. Please make sure to give them a warm Allen welcome!
Fundraiser kick-off Wednesday: Please keep an eye out for the materials coming home. Additionally, we have various PTC fundraising opportunities through-out the year to help supplement extra-curricular activities and assemblies. Please feel free to choose the ones that you would like to support.
Tomorrow, families are welcome to join us on the blacktop at 8:50 for our Meet-up Monday’s. This is our weekly morning announcement assembly where family members are welcome to join us to hear the upcoming activities for the week along with sharing one of our Sanford Harmony Quick Connection activity.
Finally, we will have our, Family First Friday meeting this Friday beginning at 8:15am in the Allen School Courtyard. I will be sharing information on Title 1 funding for our school. Please stop by for this very informal and fun meeting. Daniel’s Coffee Cart will be here serving coffee. We feel this is a great opportunity to meet and share ideas with our Allen School families. At 9:15 I will begin a Volunteer Orientation meeting in the Auditorium for those that are interested in volunteering at our school.
