Sunday Night Information! 7/29/18

Hi Eagles,

There will be an informational meeting on Tuesday at first recess for those students in grades 4-6 that would like to be a part of Student Council.  Student Council helps plan various school activities, spirit weeks, for example. New and returning students are welcome to join! If you are interested, please meet at 10:45 in Room 503.

Curriculum Night is this Thursday.  We will begin with a meeting in the auditorium at 5:30. I will then release parents for a visit to classrooms at 5:50 with a second opportunity to visit your other child’s classroom at 6:20. This is a great opportunity to meet your child(ren)’s teacher and learn of the curriculum plan for this year.  It is also an opportunity to schedule your first parent-teacher conference in September. Ms. Farlow and Ms. Gilman will be selling spirit wear.  They have short and long sleeve t-shirts as well and beanies, and an Allen cinch bag for sale.  We look forward to seeing you here.

We also want to remind our returning families and let our new families know that you are always welcome to join us on the blacktop for our Meet-up Monday’s.  This is our weekly morning announcement assembly where family members are welcome to join us to hear the upcoming activities for the week along with sharing one of our Sanford Harmony activities.  Please join us tomorrow at 8:50 on the playground.

Finally, just to clarify, Kindergarteners will be dismissed this week at their regular Monday through Thursday dismissal time of 2:55.  Minimum Day dismissals on Fridays are at 1:40. The regular Monday through Thursday dismissal time for grades 1st through 6th is 3:10. Friday dismissal for Minimum Day is 1:40 for Kinder-3rd graders and 2:00 for 4th through 6th Grade.

A few traffic reminders.

  • Do not drop students nor pick them up in the front of the school.
  • Park on Allen School Rd. And walk to campus if you wish or you can park in the Daly Academy parking lot.
  • Please be courteous, kind, and patient during our most impacted traffic times. Adults are role model for students, so practice these traits during pick up and drop off.

That’s it for now. See you bright and early in the morning!

Ms. Garcia
