Dear Allen Families,
After a ton of observation and thought, the Allen staff and I decided to make some changes to the lunch schedule. The changes on time are minor, but we are hoping for major impact! The main purpose for the change is to provide more supervision for students during the unstructured time of lunch recess. With a smaller ratio of students to noon duty supervisors, we believe the adults will be able to better support students social and emotional learning at this time by modeling conflict resolution skills, turn taking, and decision-making.
