Important Information for May 15- May 19

Thanks to all families that sent in wonderful treats for our teachers and our nurses. It was a great week for all! The week of May 22nd we will be celebrating all our support staff. Please look out for an informational email tomorrow.

The final Buy One Get One Book Fair will be held this week in Room 404. It will be open Monday-Friday before and after school. This is a great opportunity to buy some great books for summer reading.

The Variety Show is Wednesday, May 24 at 6:00pm. Tickets will be on sale in the Office starting this week. They will also be sold at the door. The last dress rehearsal is THIS Thursday at 3:15. If your child is a host, crew member or performer in the Variety Show make sure they are there for the rehearsal.

Our Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast will be held on Tuesday, May 23. This is a special opportunity to recognize all our wonderful volunteers for the many ways they help out our students and school. We truly couldn’t do it without you. It takes a village and we are so glad you are a part of the Allen School Village. So PLEASE save the date and join us for a delicious breakfast.

There are a few soft cover yearbooks left for sale. They are $15. They will be sold after school near the 6th grade store. Once they are gone, they’re gone!

Very IMPORTANT: For those students returning to Allen next year, the mandated Verification of Residency will take place on Tuesday, May 30 and Monday June 5 in the Library from 7am to 3pm. You will need to bring a bill with a due date of May 21 or later on it. Additionally you will be updating your emergency and health information for your child. Please mark this very important date on your calendar. This MUST be completed in order for your child to attend school. Thank you!

Attendance is absolutely critical all year, but more so during our testing time. Students perform much better when they are rested and at school on time and every day. Please make sure to be here every day and on time. This week 3rd grade will be testing. We wish them the best of luck.

Daly Academy’s “Something for Everyone” event is May 20th from 10:00-3:00 at the Bonita Community Church parking lot. There will be food, vendors, and Laser Tag! Please show our Eagle support and attend this event! Starting tomorrow, Daly Academy will be selling raffle tickets during our afternoon pickup time. Buy a ticket for a chance of winning half the cash sold during this raffle.

Finally, We are looking for parent volunteers to help man activity stations for our Field Day on June 2nd. Please let the office now you are interested.
